Thoughts

The first Kyu-Grades should be very easy. The 6th Dan should be at an extrem high level like Kendo 8th Dan or like 1st Kyu Instructor in Wado Kai.

The System should be simple and logic.

There will be no one person Kata, and only the necessary Yakusoku Kumite.

So, the Yakusoku Kumite is as follows:

  • Ura no Kumite 1-24
  • Idori 1-15 (from the Otsuka-Family, 10 old, 5 of the 7 new)
  • Kumite no Ura 1-6
  • Kyusho no e Kogeki 1-5

These are total 50 Yakusoku Kumite.

The 24 Ura no Kumite are from the 8th Kyu to 1st Kyu, one every 1.5 months of minimum training time.

The 15 Idori are distributed from 1st to 3rd Dan, 5 per Dan.

The Kumite no Ura are on the 4th Dan, the Kyusho no e Kogeki are at 5th Dan.

The 24 Kihon Waza are evenly distributed among the Kyu Grades. There are 6 additional Kumite Waza like Ashi Barai, Low Kick and so on.

Examinations

  • Each Person with a Dan can take gradings alone, up to 4 Grades below his/her own grade.
  • 3 x 4th Dan can take exams up to 1st Dan.
  • 3 x 5th Dan can take exams up to 2rd Dan.
  • 3 x 6th Dan can take exams up to 4th Dan.
  • Every person with 7th Dan or above can alone take all exams up to 6th Dan.

Example: For 1 test to Shodan (1st Dan), the examinator has to be at least 5th Dan or 3 people with at least 4th Dan. For Test to 4th Dan, it has to be one person with 7th Dan or at least 3 people with 6th Dan.

The 6th Dan is the highest Examination, the higher grades will be automatically granted (see below).

Technical Level

  • Kyu 8 to 6 are on a Level like Wado Ryu 8th Kyu.
  • Kyu 5 to 1 are on a Level like 2-3 Levels lower as in Wado Ryu, for example: 3rd Kyu is on Level of 5th Kyu in normal Wado Ryu.
  • 1st Dan is like 1st Kyu in Wado Ryu
  • 2nd Dan is like 2nd Dan in Wado Ryu
  • 3th Dan is like 3rd Dan in Wado Ryu
  • 4th Dan is like 4th Dan in Wado Ryu
  • 5th Dan is like 6th Dan in Wado Ryu
  • 6th Dan is like 8th Dan in Wado Ryu

Automatic grading after 6th Dan

10 years after 6h Dan, the 7th Dan is automatically granted. 10 years later 8th Dan, 10 years later 9th Dan, 10 years later 10th Dan. This stops at the age of 80.

The minimum training Years starts at the age of 10 for people who began younger than age 10. This means the 6th Dan can be achieved not earlier than at the 40th Birthday of that person and therefore the 10th Dan would be granted at the age of 80.

All people who startet later than the 10th Birthday, they can never reach 10th Dan (because the person would older than 80 years and the automated promotion ends with age 80).

The Rank of the Founder

When the Founder starts the teaching of this new system in the year 2034 on April 1st, he will start at 9th Kyu and will be auto-promoted alsways after minimum time.

The Rank of the Founder would be like this:

  • 8th Kyu May 1st 2034
  • 1st Kyu April 1st 2037
  • 1st Dan April 1st 2038
  • 2nd Dan April 1st 2042
  • 3rd Dan April 1st 2046
  • 4th Dan April 1st 2050
  • 5th Dan April 1st 2054
  • 6th Dan April 1st 2064
