This Page is supposed to be a Reference book for every Person who is intereseted in Wado-Ryu.
The Information about Wado Ryu is split in thousands of Websites and in three large organisations. And some information are only shared in the old yahoo groups (deleted, but we have copy) and on forums like allwado.com. The Discussions of long-time and high-ranked wadoka can give us more understanding of the history and true meaning of wado-ryu.
And there are some misinformation around in the world wide web or some contradictions and we try to put together the correct information and also the views of all three of the different organisations.
We want to preserve this information and experiences from people who studied wado-ryu for 50 and more years and who had the oppotunity to train under Hironori, Jiro or Kazutaka Otsuka for some hours.
In the future, you will find here all wado-principles, a list of all Kumite-forms with a description.
This Wiki is about the traditional wado-ryu, not about sports karate. This Wiki runs on Mediawiki, the same software as wikipedia.
You can edit articles or create new one. Sometimes i and other administrators make administrative changes, for example changing the name of a page to a better name or something like this.
