In this new style/organization, we have a special rule set for jiyu kumite.
- We have head protection like in Kudo.
- No gloves allowed (only slim fist protection).
- ground fight is allowed.
- the fight is 1 minute long
You can win in one of this ways:
- opponent gives up (surrender by joint locks or for other reasons)
- fighter is standing, while other fighter is on the floor fore more than one second
- 3 realistic and good hits to the (protected) head
- 3 realistic and good kicks
- opponent unable to move (joint locks, etc) for more than 5 seconds
The fights are divided in to categorys by points:
- For each life year below 50 years you add 0.2 points.
- For each life year above 50 years you substract 0.5 points
- Each Dan is as many points as the number of the dan (2nd Dan is 2 points and so on)
- Each kilogram below 80 substracts 0.1 points, over 80 kilogram nothing added or substracted.
For example:
- Fighter A is 20 years old (+6 pts) and 4th Dan (+4 pt). Total 10 points.
- Fighter B is 35 years old (+3 pts), 5th Dan (+5 pts). Total 8 points.
- Fighter C is 40 years old (+2 pts), 4th Dan (+4 pts). Total 6 points.
- Fighter D is 56 years old (-3 pts), 7th Dan (+7 pts). Total 4 points.
- Fighter E is 50 years old (+0 pts), 2nd Dan (+2 pts). Total 2 points.
- Fighter F is 60 years old (-5 pts), 5th Dan (+5 pts). Total 0 points.
A and B can fight each other, because one person is heavyer, but has a lower dan-level, so it is about equal.
10 points is the Maximum.
