Kumite Training
The 10 Ippon Kumite are only the basic Kumite.
In Training we use a lot of variations.
Variations of Ippon Kumite
- Attacker makes second attack right after the first one.
- The Attack is with the other hand or leg.
- The attack is in a different height.
- A different technique is used for attack (for example: Mawashizuki instead Tobikomizuki).
- The attacker has the other leg in front (left instead of right and vice versa).
From Ippon Kumite to Jiyu Kumite
- Attacker makes second attack right after the first one.
- The attack comes from free movement (Jiyu Kumite).
