| | * Ground fight in Jiyu Kumite. |
| | * Fight relistic, for example fpr 30 seconds or so (in real street fight, you don't have much time. |
| | * Teach/Lern the use of the Principles against other attacks like boxking attacks. |
|
| |
|
| So that people don't get to impatient, we need maybo 8 kyu and 8 dan.

| The technical program goes like this:
| |
| | |

| Then we have the following Yakusoku Kumite:
| |
| | |
| Kihon Kumite 5 & 10

| Ura no Kumite ? & 23
| |
| Idori X & Y
| |

| Show all the 8 Yakusoku Kumite and for each of the 4 types create and show 5 different drills that perfectly in to the category. For example create 5 new Kihon Kumite, which uses exact the same pattern and principles from the number of attacks to the end. By Kyusho no e Koegki you have to clearly show also the kuzushi at the end and so on.
| |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| Then there is a list of other techniques which has to performed in Kihon form and on a partner:
| |
| | |
| # Ashi Barai
| |
| #
| |
| | |
| | |
| Joint locks:
| |
| | |
| From 5th to 1st Kyu one joint lock of each type more (for example: 4th Kyu is 2 wrist locks, 2 leg locks and so an. By the 1st Kyu the number is at 5 for each lock type.
| |
| | |
| The categories are
| |
| | |

| |
| | |
| By all the Dan-Grades you have to show all 24 Kihon Waza, minimum 20 Joint locks on the partner , all the 'other techniques'.

Wado Ryu 2.0 is a temporary name for an idea of a new training method and a new orientation of wado ryu.
The basic Idea
The basic idea is to concentrate on the real core of Wado Ryu, which is its principles. And at the same time focus more on real fighting and real self defense.
For this, the idea is to get rid of the solo kata and concentrate more on kumite drills.
We would also reduce the number of kumite drills, to focus more on different techniques.
Instead of 10 Kihon Kumite, we would only have 5, but train them in all sort of variations, so the principle gets more clear.
The some goes with Idori and other things.
The connection between yakusoku kumite and jiyu kumite has to be more clear.
So, the concept says this:
- Use all Wado Ryu Principles as Hironori Otsuka develop them between 50 and 100 years ago.
Taking things from other styles, but keep it Wado-Ryu:
- Low Kick from Muay Thai as Mawashigeri Gedan
- Fighting gear frum Kudo or Shorinji Kempo
- Training-Methodand rules for free fight from Kudo Shorinji Kempo and others.
- Ground fight in Jiyu Kumite.
- Fight relistic, for example fpr 30 seconds or so (in real street fight, you don't have much time.
- Teach/Lern the use of the Principles against other attacks like boxking attacks.
